I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be teaching a 3 week online plein air workshop starting Oct 21, 2015!
The workshop will cover the the fundamentals of outdoor painting through demonstrations, lectures, practice exercises, and critiques.
I’ll have students focus on effectively capturing light, atmosphere and mood of the countryside while using strong composition and color harmony.
You’ll learn how to simplify a scene and learn tricks for making the plein air process enjoyable and rewarding.
During this workshop, I’ll be using both watercolor and gouache. You’re more than welcome to use watercolor only but you may find it interesting to see the features of gouache. I’ve been finding it very helpful (and forgiving) when painting plein air!
